The Assistant Engineer is responsible for the following actions

1. Responsible for the site activities including execution, quality monitoring, planning & quality checking.
2. Responsible for reviewing the site measurements, material checks, bill checks.
3. Responsible for pour card preparation, checks and certification of preparedness of Contractor before submitting the Pour card to the Construction Manager
4. Review of reconciliation survey on site for accounting the consumption of cement & steel.

The Planning Engineer is responsible for the following actions

1. To be able to understand the Project and the requirements in complete, arrive at the number of packages and the packaging methodology
2. Knowledge of Project at the macro level: Concept Design, Design development, Procurement, Construction, Testing and commissioning, Close out etc
3. Knowledge of WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) with detailing the activities involved in the project, fitting those in the timelines, calculating the materials, manpower and machinery required to execute these
4. Should be able to understand the Scope of works from the Drawings, BOQ and Specs and prepare the Baseline Program / Schedule of Works using Project Management tools such as Primavera or MS Project software

4. Quantity take-off from the drawings and cost estimating the works
5. Revision of schedules based on delays/decisions taken by the stakeholders, coordination with Project team to understand the actual delays btw the activities forming the particular milestone(s)

Additional knowledge - Experience of hands-on with MS project/Primavera to plan, track and control the project schedules.
